Conformance Status
Settlewood aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We continually review and improve our app to ensure it is usable by as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
Settlewood includes the following accessibility features: • Semantic roles and labels for screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA) • Full keyboard navigation on web (Tab, arrow keys, Escape, Enter/Space) • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements • Skip-to-content link for keyboard users • Focus trapping and focus management in modals • Live region announcements for asynchronous events such as analysis complete and upload success • Dark mode support that follows your system preference • Reduced motion support: animations are simplified or skipped when you prefer reduced motion • Dynamic Type and font scaling support • Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) • Information is never conveyed by color alone; text labels, icons, and patterns supplement color cues
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them: • The progress chart provides a summary of score trends for screen reader users; individual data points are available via tap-to-reveal tooltips rather than as a full data table • Manual screen reader testing across all platforms is ongoing
